Jimi Hendrix would have totally rocked this incredible antique military jacket! Very similar to the jackets that Jimi was known for wearing, this one is from the early 1900's and has gorgeous details!
Gold roping and ribbon trim throughout with decorative round brass buttons.
Epaulets are braided metal thread adorned with number 5 brass buttons.
Closure is both hook and eye and brass toggle buttons.
Vent at bottom back of jacket.
In very good condition considering it is an antique. It is completely wearable. There are only a few issues described below and shown in detailed photos:
-A few tiny holes on front left chest
-Small holes under each armpit
-Small holes at right shoulder
-Open seam around top of collar and loose roping trim
-Undone stitching of ribbon and roping at right wrist
-Looks like there is a patch repair stitched at back of jacket at bottom left, barely noticable.
-Lining is linen material and in good condition with 2 interior pockets. There are some grey marks and discoloration from wear, especially in armpit area. Also some small holes at armpits.
Fit of jacket is like a modern Small or Medium, but please use measurements for best idea of fit:
Armpit to armpit: 19 inches
Shoulder to shoulder: 16.5 inches
Top of collar to bottom hem: 25 inches
Width: 17 inches
Sleeve length: 24 inches
