This AMAZING vintage suede fringed vest is a true collector's piece of fashion history!!
Custom made in the early 1970's on Elizabeth Street in Soho, NYC back in the day when it was a true artists' community.
Perfect for a musician, music festivals, of if you just want to feel like a rockstar on a regular basis!
Vest is faded blue suede that resembles the color of your favorite worn out denim. Fringe is dramatically long to the floor, is cut on the bias, and is a faded red suede. I love the cut-out star patterns, especially on the back. The blue suede is discolored all over but this adds to the authenticity of such a rock and roll piece.
The stars on the right front panel are white and the stars on the left front panel are tan.
Back panel stars look like they used to be tan but have faded to more of a yellowish tone.
Interior in unlined and in excellent condition.
Note that there is weight to this vest as it is made of a sturdy cow suede. It is NOT a super soft suede.
Weight approx 4lbs.
Label says Great Northern Leather & Tea Co., 13 Elizabeth St. New York City.
There is no size on label but I am a SIZE 2 and it fits me like a SIZE L. See photos.
